1 Introduction

Welcome to Wahda's pre-launch waitlist platform ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you register on the Wahda waitlist website, participate in our referral program, complete missions, or otherwise interact with our services prior to the official launch of the Wahda application. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By registering on the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described herein. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2 Who We Are

The Wahda waitlist platform is operated by Wahda ("Company", "we", "us"). We are the data controller responsible for your personal information collected through this Platform. This Platform is hosted and deployed outside the core Wahda production environment using third-party infrastructure and database providers. Please refer to Section 9 for details on third-party data processors.

3 Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information depending on your registration type.

2.1 Standard User Registration

  • Full Name - To identify your account and address you by name
  • Email Address - For account verification, communications, and OTP delivery
  • Country - For regional analytics and compliance purposes
  • Phone Number - For official Wahda WhatsApp space invitations and activation reminders
  • Referral Code - To track your referral activity and calculate rewards
  • Waitlist Number - Used as your public leaderboard identifier (no name is displayed publicly)
  • Gender - Used for understanding user demographics to improve features, marketing, and product decisions

2.2 Creator Registration

In addition to the standard fields above, creators provide:

  • Content Preferences - E.g., lifestyle, scholars, education - to categorise creator profiles
  • Social Media Links - To verify your creator identity and assess content reach
For Grand Prize Winners: If you win the $1,000 cash grand prize, we will collect your bank account details solely for the purpose of processing your payment. This data is not used for any other purpose and is deleted once the transfer is confirmed.

2.3 Mission & Engagement Data

  • Date of Birth - Collected during mission completion (bio mission); used to verify age eligibility
  • Interests - Collected during mission completion; used to understand user preferences for product development
  • Survey Responses - Your expectations and feature wish for Wahda; used for product research
  • Social Media Personality Quiz Results - Generated during mission completion; shareable by you to your own social media
  • Points Earned and Referral Counts - Used to calculate leaderboard rankings and reward eligibility

2.4 Community & Business Registration (Optional)

If you choose to submit the optional Community or Business registration form for early access, we may additionally collect:

  • Organisation or Community Name
  • Business Type or Category
  • Representative Contact Details
  • Additional Information - Any additional information you voluntarily provide in the form

2.5 Automatically Collected Information

  • Browser, Device & OS - Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • IP Address & Geolocation - IP address and approximate geolocation (country/city level)
  • Referral & UTM Data - Referral tracking parameters and UTM data
  • Activity Timestamps - Timestamps of logins, mission completions, and point transactions
  • Cookies - Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8)

4 How We Use Your Information

We process your personal information for the following purposes:

Mission & Gamification Recording questionnaire answers, profile completion, personality test results, and point accumulation

UAT Testing Selection Evaluating user/creator profiles and engagement data to select testers for the Wahda beta launch
Analytics & Improvement Understanding platform usage patterns, optimising referral mechanics, and improving user experience
Community & Business Outreach Processing optional forms to grant early access to community/business features

5 Use of Phone Number

Your phone number is collected for a specific purpose: to invite users and creators to the official Wahda WhatsApp space. This group is used for: • Launch reminders and key milestone announcements • User activation campaigns • Community engagement prior to the app launch We encourage you to join the official Wahda WhatsApp space using the link provided in your email or available on your dashboard. We do not use your phone number for unsolicited marketing via SMS or automated calling. Your number is not sold to any third party.

6 Email Verification (OTP)

To ensure the authenticity of registrations and protect the integrity of the waitlist, we send a one-time password (OTP) verification code to your email address at the point of registration. This code: • Is valid for a limited time period only • Is single-use and cannot be reused • Is used solely to verify that you have access to the email address provided We do not store OTP codes after verification is complete.

7 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Platform. The categories of cookies we use are:
Purpose Details
Essential Cookies Required for platform operation, session management, and security. Cannot be disabled.
Analytics Cookies Help us understand how users interact with the platform (e.g., page views, referral flows). May be disabled.
Referral Tracking Track referral codes and UTM parameters to correctly attribute sign-ups. Required for the referral program.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect your ability to use referral and mission features.

8 Third-Party Data Processors

To operate the Platform, we engage trusted third-party service providers who process personal data on our behalf. This includes providers of infrastructure and database hosting, authentication and security services, email communications, analytics, and messaging services. All third-party processors are bound to process your personal data only as instructed by us, solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and are required to implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data. They are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

9 Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. Specifically: • Waitlist registration data is retained for 6 months from the date of collection, or until the conclusion of the waitlist program, whichever is earlier • If you do not convert to a Wahda app user after launch, your data will be retained for a further 6 months and then securely deleted • Grand prize bank details are deleted once the payment transfer is confirmed • OTP codes are deleted immediately upon successful verification Waitlist data will not be automatically migrated to the Wahda app database to pre-create accounts. If you wish to create a Wahda account at launch, you will do so independently.

10 Children's Privacy

The Wahda waitlist platform is intended for users who are 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 16, and registration by minors is not something we encourage or support. If you are under 16, we kindly ask that you do not register on the Platform. While we are unable to independently verify the age of every individual who registers, any participation by a minor is outside the scope of our intended service and beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, responsibility lies with the individual and, where applicable, their parent or guardian. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we reserve the right to suspend or remove the account and delete the associated personal data without prior notice.

11 Data Security & International Transfers

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Your data may be stored and processed by our service providers in data centers located outside your country of residence. Where such transfers occur, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place.

12 Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing activities. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at help@wahda.com. We will respond within 30 days.

13 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users via email and update the version and effective date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
